Time Machine

from surveillance to stories // ongoing

Time Machine uses the instruments of networked surveillance to generate, capture, and transmit stories across time and space. Time Machine adapts to new locations, creating tools for generating public images and information that builds contexts and constituencies. Technologies include mechanisms for stop-action animation, face and gesture recognition, video and photographic capture, aggregated through public video feeds and projections. Time Machine is a collaboration with new-media artist Ali Momeni. Time Machine premiered Elsewhere in 2012. In 2014, Time Machine Puppet Vision will appear in the 5x5 Festival, and at Connecting Cities Helsinki, Brussels, and Liverpool.
